# Plain stats

A plain stat is a stat whose value represents how often a player performs a certain action. For example, raising preflop or making continuation bets. To create a plain stat, you just need to simulate an action, the frequency of which you want to see in HUD.

# Working with Actions Tab

# Working with Hand Strength Tab

Before you start create your own custom stats you should remember the following rules:

  • Player is always the one whose stat's value we are going to look in popups and HUD
  • Villian is always one of Player's opponents
  • If you set actions sequence "Player Raises", "Villain Calls" then Hand2Note assumes that any kind of actions is possible either before player's raise or after his opponent's call. Also, between raise and call can be any number of folds. This is very important fundamental rule of creating stats in Hand2Note. If you wish, for example, player's raise to be the first action on the street then you should set a check-box "First not fold action on street"

After each change or adding stat in HUD or popup, you need to rebuild the statistics so that the stat value is calculated based on all the hands from your database

# Action Details

You can assign specific parameters to each action in the stat.

Show parameters description ↓

First Player's action on street If true then selected action should be the first action of a player on current street
Last player's action on street If true then selected action should be the last player's action on current street
First non fold action on street If true then selected action should be the first action on street excluding folds
Last non fold action on street If true then selected action should be the last action on current street excluding folds
Stack size Player's stack size at the moment right before he did the selected action
Stack size / Initial pot on street Ratio between stack size at the moment right before the selected action and initial pot on the street
Eff stack size The maximum stack size among all player left in hand but not bigger than player's stack size
Eff stack size among vpiped players The maximum stack size among all players who did an action in hand but not bigger than player's stack size
Eff stack size / Pot Effective stack size to current pot size ratio
Eff stack size / Initial pot on street Effective stack size to initial pot on current street ratio
Bet size Bet size of the selected action. If player did a raise then its bet size equals to player's current bet on the current street. In other words, if player did a bet 10 and then raised to 30 then his bet size of raise equals 30. If he did a bet 10 and then called 20 then his bet size of call equals 20.
Bet Size / Pot Ratio between bet size and pot size at the moment right before the action
Bet size / Initial pot on street Ratio between bet size to initial pot on current street
Bet size / Previous villain's bet size Ratio between player's bet size and previous villain's bet size
Bet size / Eff stack size Bet size to effective stack size ratio
All-in Defines if a bet was all-in. If player did a bet bigger or equal to his effective stack size then his bet treated as all-in. However, if player's effective stack size is just 1.5 big blind bigger than his bet then this bet is also treated as all-in. For example, if player has effective stack size 11bb and did a bet 10bb then his bet is all-in.
Position postflop Allows to define either player is in position or out of position to all players left in hand. If player seats between two other players then he is treated neither in position nor out of position to them.
Reg or fish Defines if player is a fish or a reg
Is Hero Defines if selected action was done by a Hero, i.e. by you
Is Hero still in hand If true then Hero should still be in hand
Player Id If two actions have the same non zero Player Id then these actions should be done by the same player. Use this option for creating stats in spots with multiple players involved.
Stats Intervals Allows to define stats of a player who did the selected action. For example, you may create a stat showing a continuation bet percentage against those who fold on continuation bet too often. At this moment this function is limited because at the beginning of building statistics all stats values have too small sample.
Initial Pot Defines the initial pot on the current street
Initial player's count Defines initial number of players on the current street

For example, when creating "Raise First" stat, set "First non-fold action on the street" parameter to "Player Raises" action.

Raise First stat

# Preflop Tab Settings

On the Preflop tab you may set a preflop range and some settings for the whole hand.

If you select partial preflop range then the resulting stat will show the ratio between selected hands and all hands shown at showdown after player did actions specified in the Actions Tab.

Show parameters description ↓

Big blind size Big blind size in hand
Ante Ante in hand
Chipsum The sum of all chips of all players in hand. Use this option to detect final table in MTT SNG where you know the exact number of players, for example, 180-SNG
Players in hand The number of players received pocket cards in hand
Is Hero on blinds If true then Hero should seat on Small Blind or Big Blind
Is Fish on blinds If true then at least one fish should seat on Big Blind or Small Blind
Zoom If true then hand should be played in Zoom on PokerStars or alternative game type on other rooms
Somebody posted blinds out of queue If true then at least one player should post blinds out of queue
Player's Position Defines the position of the player. This option is an alternative to player's position for preflop action in Actions Tab. Use this option for those stats where you don't specify preflop actions.

# Bet sizing and Groups tabs

Bet Sizing tab allows you to set on a distinct stat options similar to options in Configuration → Popup on stat → Bet Sizing. The difference is that options specified in editor will affect only a single stat despite options in configuration affect all stats at once.

Groups tab define how postflop range of a stat is separated by hand strengths. Similar options you may set in Configuration → Postflop diagram → Groups but for all stats at once.

Both the distribution of the stat value by bet sizing and the postflop diagram are displayed in the extended popup, which opens by default when you hover over the stat.

# Creating stats vs Hero

To create a stat against Hero you should enable Is Hero check-box on Villain's action

For example, TOTAL 3BET VS HERO stat:

Keep in mind that Hand2Note builds "vs-hero" stat value for each stat automatically and it is shown in Stat Info popup:
